Before this was a restaurant, it was Hana Oriental Market, the Korean grocery Mr. Kim and Mama Kim ran on N. Witchduck Rd for close to twenty years. Running the store rekindled an old dream of opening a place of their own, and 757 Korean BBQ is what came of it.
We think flavor starts at the source, so every cut is hand-butchered and marinated here with fresh ingredients, and every dish is made from scratch.
1990
Mr. Kim arrives in America with $50 in his pocket, works as a salesman, and saves enough to bring Mama Kim and their two-year-old daughter over from Korea.
1998
The Kims buy Hana Oriental Market in Virginia Beach, the same building we cook in today.
2008
A fire tears through the building. Our church community steps in to help rebuild and reopen.
2011

2016
757 Korean BBQ is born.
